How long does window tint take?
Most cars and trucks are done in a few hours, usually the same day you drop them off. For homes and businesses it depends on how many windows there are, and we'll give you a time estimate with your quote.
How dark can I tint my windows in Texas?
Texas requires the driver and front passenger windows to let at least 25% of light through and reflect no more than 25%, measured with the glass. The back side windows have no darkness limit, and the rear window can be any shade as long as you have a side mirror on each side. Windshield tint is only allowed above the AS-1 line or in the top 5 inches, though a clear UV film can cover the whole windshield. We'll help you pick front shades that pass inspection.
Do you offer a warranty?
Yes. HITEK automotive films carry a lifetime, transferable manufacturer's warranty against bubbling, peeling, cracking and fading. Home and business films have their own HITEK manufacturer's warranty, and we'll go over the terms with you before you book.
Can you remove my old tint?
Yes. We take off old, faded or bubbling tint and clean the glass before the new film goes on. Just mention it when you ask for a quote.
Do you tint homes and businesses?
Yes. Send us the size of each window and we'll send you a price, often the same day. Then we schedule a time to install the film at your home or business.
When can I roll my windows down?
Give new tint 3 to 5 days to cure before you roll the windows down. A little haze or a few small water pockets are normal at first and clear up as the film dries.
